Who we are
About éhi studio
reworked somewhere between Brooklyn and the Kalahari.
We work out of a small Brooklyn studio, dyeing silk and natural fibers by hand using techniques that embrace what can't be controlled — the way color moves through cloth, catches at a fold, and dries differently every time.
Every piece carries the mark of its making: subtle variation in color, texture and flow that makes it one of a kind. Some of that work becomes wearable pieces. Some of it goes on set, built for a director's palette and a specific kind of light.
We believe in slow production, transparent sourcing, and garments that age beautifully. The process is rooted in craft, but it's shaped by the people who wear and film our work.
Imperfection
Hand-dyeing leaves evidence. Pooling, bloom and drift are the point, not a defect to correct.
Small batches
Nothing is mass produced. We dye what we can finish by hand, which keeps every run short and specific.
Honest materials
Silk and natural fibers, low-impact dyes, and suppliers we can name if you ask.
